8 great years, looking forward to many more.

I've heard people say that after you get married you really can't count your "dating" anniversaries anymore.  Well, I think even though were getting ready to have our 1 year wedding anniversary in July, I still think we should celebrate our "dating" anniversary.  If it wasn't for these past 8 years then we wouldn't be here getting ready to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary.  The last 8 years have been the best years of my life.  I've had the chance to grow up with my best friend.  I am definately looking forward to our 1 year wedding anniversary but I didn't want to forget this day too.  April 29, 2001 will always be the day that changed my life for the better.

Justin - I know sometimes you randomly come across this blog and most likely with your busy work schedule you won't for a while but I want you to know your the most amazing person (other than myself of course) that i've ever known.  You've been there for me thru everything and I can not imagine life without you.  I look forward to many more years together...I love you my little goat. ;o)

Baseball season has arrived, maybe for the last time.

I've been spending my days watching my cousin play his last year of baseball in High School.  I hope that maybe he'll continue into college but just incase he doesn't I cherish every moment. 

Blog posts will probably be slim from now until June.  I've got atleast 2-3 baseball games each week, plus prom is coming up, and then graduation.  I'll try and update atleast once a week to keep you guys updated on life.  Continue to check my shop because it will still be updated....

I Want it Wednesday :: Things I need to help me fufill my dream.

This post is just a list of things that I need to help my little business along and help me with the next four years of my life....college.  My goal is to have a few of these things by the end of this year.  Some of them I will need for school also so those are my first priority products.  I know that eventually I will have what I need but I decided to make a list of everything I need and want that way JUST INCASE anyone was wanting to buy me something they'll know what to buy. haha

I need this camera so that I am able to video my tutorials.  I want to be able to do tutorials on applying vinyl wall art, crafting, using the cricut.

Wacom Bamboo Craft $129.00

So I've been wanting one of these for a while now.  Sometimes its so hard to work with a mouse.  I definately think this will help out with editing photos and I want to be able to actually draw on my computer.

Yudu Machine $299.00

I have wanted this since the day I found out that provocraft was bringing this out.  This isn't at the top of my list but it's definately on my list.  It took me about 2 years after the cricut came out to get it but I got it.  So I have faith that one day I'll be able to afford this.  I have so many ideas for what I can do with this.

Nikon D60

I've been looking at cameras for about 9 months now.  I think this is the one I finally have chosen.  The next hard part is which lenses to start off with.

I'm hoping I can get a student discount on this when it comes to buying it.  I have Paint Shop Pro 7 but it just isn't photoshop.

I've never had an iMac.  I did get an iBook back a long time ago.  I LOVED it.  But at the time NOONE had mac's.  Noone around here even knew what they were.  I couldn't do my homework or anything on it because nothing at school was compatable.  Boy how times have changed.  I WILL own this.....one day.

Canon PIXMA MP980 Wireless Photo All-in-One Printer, Scanner, Copier $249.95

I need a new WIRELESS printer.  The printer I have now i've had for about 6 years probably.  It's still in great condition but way out of date.  I need something that is wireless so that both I and the husband are able to print from.  Plus, if its wireless I can get it away from my computer and out of my work space.  It's taking up alot of room right now.  With this wireless one I can put it anywhere in the room.

Well, this is one thing on my list I may never get.  I found out about this awesome machine last spring while searching online for wedding invitation ideas.  I really wanted to purchase one and make my own wedding invitations but at the time didn't have the money to invest in it.  After I passed up the opportunity to buy it I found out that they stopped making it and stopped making the supplies.  You can still find them online for lots of money...but I doubt I'll ever be able to afford to buy one plus stock up on all the supplies.

Above are some new things I added to the shop.  I already had rainbow colored peace sign die cuts and they went over really well.  I sold 4 sets of them in less than 2 weeks.  So I decided to add a few different color versions.  I'm going to be adding some more in a few days but I wanted to go ahead and show you guys what I've got up so far. 

I also have some new headband designs that I will hopefully have up in the shop this weekend.  So stay tuned....

We've got big news

I noticed that all my friends on facebook was posting pictures of their kids easter egg hunting today... Well I don't have a kid so I give you...Bella.

I always get excited after Easter because it seems like Spring weather really is near...

We spend the afternoon at my grandma's eating dinner.  After we got back home I had a few custom orders to do.  I didn't have to get them done today but I figured I might as well so I could get them sent off in the morning.  Also if you follow me on twitter or read my facebook then you already know our big news... Friday Justin got a call from the mine that he had applied at and he got the job.  He has to be there at 1pm on Tuesday to fill out paperwork and do his drug test.  Were not exactly sure when he'll start but he's pretty sure it will be in the next week... So he's been really excited.. He's already been saying "oh I can buy this and this..." but it's always "I" not "us." haha I think he forgot that he promised me if he got on at the mine he'd buy me a camera... I've already got my eye on this baby... hehe

It's just crazy...I just posted saying how stressed out I was because I only had 2 weeks of unemployment left and how JC still hadn't heard from the mine and then boom..the next day we hear something.. :o)  I'm so glad it's working out.  Now I just need to come up with a part time job to do this summer to have some extra money... I'm hoping to make enough money from my etsy shop to cover it but we'll see how it goes.

Isn't she a beaut??  Well...there's a story.. (isn't there always?)  Last spring me and one of my friends went to Indianapolis for some shopping before the wedding.. I basically went to buy some cute cloths and accessories for the honeymoon trip to Florida.  As I was strolling thru "In Love 21" (it's like the accessory store for Forever 21 I fell in love with this baby.  She fit so perfectly on my arm... (okay not really, that damn tie was really annoying on my shoulder..but I didn't care..)  Anyways...I loved the green and blue together... the blue stitching, not to mention the adorable whale on the front..  Anyways..as I walked around the store knowing I was going to buy this thing (it was ONLY $19) my friend that was with me talked me out of it.  She had to bring up that I had just bought a $300 Coach purse and that I didn't need this purse.  Yes, it was true I purchased a $300 COACH purse..but was I going to carry it everyday?? Hell No!! It was $300 I didn't want to damage it.. I needed a purse I could carry all the time...  Anyways... I didn't buy it.. for some reason I listened to my friend.  (I usually never listen to any of my friends, sometimes they don't give good advice. hehe)  Anyways.. so here we are 1 year later and this purse is still haunting me.  I still dream of her often and imagine her uncomfortable strap on my shoulder....oh i have to have her.  I've searched all over the internet... Forever 21 doesn't carry her anymore and I can't find it on ebay or anywhere else...

PLEASE HELP!!! I need her!!

So, in two weeks I'll be completely out of unemployment.  I will have ZERO income.  I was hoping by now JC would be working at the mine so we really weren't worried.  He had his interview I think late February or early March, I really can't remember.  Anyways they told him he was first on the list to be hired and that they would be hiring him the first of April.  Well it's April 8 and he still hasn't heard anything from them.  He calls them about every week and they keep saying "your first on the list..." but then he never hears back from them.  If he doesn't get that job then I don't get to go to school.  If he doesn't get that job then I have to get a full time job to be able to afford my bills.  This weekend I'm going to sit down and add up all our bills combined...then add up his income from his unemployment and figure out what we'll need to get by.  I'm pretty much at the point to where I'm gonna have to take anything...no matter what the income is.  I keep telling JC how worried I am and he just says  "don't worry, it will work out, it always does."  But this time it just don't seem like it will...

So my plan for today is I've got two orders to do and get sent out.  So i'm going to do that as soon as I finish this post.  Then I'm going to search online to see if I can find any jobs that I can apply for online.  Blah. . .

What's up with this crazy weather?

How in the heck was it like in the 60's and 70's this weekend and it is in the 30's today???  Yuck... why can't spring get here and stay??  I had an a phone interview today at noon.  It was my second one for the company and I feel it went really well.  I should hear something within the week.  If I get the job I'll talk about it more then... Anyways below is a few pics of some hair accessories I made and posted last friday.  I plan on crafting the rest of this afternoon, plus sewing some pillows up for my aunt, then hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow for me to take pictures and get some new stuff posted on the shop.

Were back from our trip to Kentucky

Friday around 2pm we left for Evansville, Indiana.  Above, Bella was giving me the "i love you so much momma, please don't leave me" look. hehe

We stayed at the Casino Aztar Hotel.  I went and tried to get lucky off $50, lost it fast and went back to the room.   I searched the little "hotel directory" until I found they had a fitness room on the third floor.  So since I was on my diet I decided it was probably a good idea for me to take advantage of the fitness room while I could...plus I knew i'd be eating unhealthy all weekend.  So while everyone else was down in the casino I worked out in the fitness room.  I was only in there for about 45 minutes or so but I really enjoyed every minute of it.  It reminded me of how much I love doing that kind of stuff...it also reminded me of how much I was out of shape.  I really can't afford to a gym membership and I definately can't afford buying any gym equipment...but I'm definately looking forward to purchasing some ZUMBA dvd's on ebay so that I can get back in the work-out groove.

Anyways, 5:30 am on Saturday the alarms were going off and we were up and at it.  We ate breakfast at the Temptations Buffet on the 2nd floor of the hotel.  They have amazing food.  Then we were on the road headed to Owensboro, Kentucky.  The above photo is a photo taken with my iPhone of the bridge with the sun coming up crossing the Ohio River.  I thought the it looked pretty in the sunlight.  So 30 minutes later we arrive at Owensboro for JC and his ball team to play softball.  The first game they played REALLY well... but ended up losing by 3.  The second game they didn't do so great.  They ended up losing and by 1:30 we were back on the road heading home.  It was still a fun weekend but I wish the team would have did better.. I was glad to be coming home considering I knew my Bella was at home waiting on me.

We got home around 5pm where after lots of hugs and kisses from Bella, me and her laid of the couch cuddling and taking a little nap while JC cooked some chili.  I woke up just long enough to eat some chili and watch a little of the Michigan State game and I fell back asleep.  We woke up this morning around 10:30 and unpacked and got some laundry going...hopefully we got our sleep caught back up from the trip.  Tomorrow I have a phone interview at noon that last 90 minutes, so after that I'm hoping to get some more things added to the shop.  I'm also hoping that I receive my headband that Katie Jo made me...  Below is a picture of Bella and JC sleeping in bed this morning...she was so happy to have us back home.

I started a weight loss blog

I've known Katie Jo now for probably 10 years....maybe longer.  I met her a LONG TIME AGO online I think at a Britney Spears Fan Club chat or something like that.  I know it had to do with Britney Spears. haha  We're both big fans.  Anyways, we both had livejournals and had alot in common.  Sometimes I told her things that I didn't tell my "real life" friends.  She just always seemed to understand me and never judge me.  That's what I loved about her.  Since then of course online social networking as taken over...we both have a myspace, facebook, blog, twitter, etc.  But we ALWAYS stayed in touch.   When we first met online she lived in California and I lived in Indiana, so I always knew there was probably no way I'd ever get to meet her.  A couple of years ago she moved to a town in Michigan which is only about a 5 hour drive for me.  I'm hoping one day we will get to meet.  She's like my "virtual BFF" but I have no doubt that if we lived closer she'd be my "real BFF."
Anyways, last fall we were talking about how we both were going to be opening an etsy shop.  I was just as excited about her opening one as I was myself.  I knew she had a great eye for detail and was very creative.
I always knew that I would want her to make me something from her shop.  When I saw she was doing hair/head accessories I was so excited.  I gave her a few ideas of what I'd like and she came up with something PERFECT!!!  All her hair accessories are amazing but she knew I wasn't a "girly girl" who would wear feathers, diamonds, flowers...etc.  so she came up with something that fits me EXACT. I love em!!

OMG!!!  When she posted these last nite I fell in love with both of them.  Unfortunately my hubby would kill me if I bought both right now, so I had to pick just one.  I picked the single leaf one.  I think now I am regretting my decision because maybe I like the double leaf one better...i don't know.. I love them both so much..and I'm probably going to end up buying it too! haha  They are so "me."  She did so well picking out the perfect color green and the perfect size and everything...I'm just so happy with it.  I ordered it last nite and she is only a state away so I'm hoping to have it by this weekend so I can wear it when we go out of town. EEEE!!!  I can't wait!!

Weightloss Wednesday :: Timeline

Yesterday I posted about how I was tired of gaining weight and I was ready to lose it and keep it off.  I decided to make a timeline for myself (and for others) to see how I gained and loss weight over the past 9 years.  I wanted this post to be here so anytime I'm having a hard time I can look at this post and see my goal.

Spring 2000

Sophomore in High School

Probably weighed around 130ish...

New Years Eve 2003/2004

Not sure how much I weighed but I hated how much I had gained.

New Years Eve 2005/2006

Started getting sick due to tumour in my fallopian tube. It made me get sick alot so I lost quite a bit of weight.  But I was happy with the way I looked.  Just didn't like getting sick to get that way.  I had just got engaged on christmas eve.

New Years Eve 2006/2007

I had surgery that spring to remove the tumour and started eating much better...as you can tell.

May 2007

I was probably around 180.

April 2008

We got our engagement pictures taken.  I was around 174/175.  I watched what I ate and worked out two times a week so that I made sure I'd look good in my wedding dress.

July 26, 2009

I was at 169 and completely happy with the way I looked in my wedding dress.  Obviously I was no size four or anything but I was happy with being a size 12. 

This is where I want to be again.  and I want to be there NOW!!! Obviously I know it won't happen that fast but it will happen, and I'm going to make it happen starting today.  I'm hoping once I get back down to a size 12 if I maintain what I'm doing I may even be able to get smaller.  At that time I was doing so good I could tell that I was dropping...but then I got laid off and got lazy.  Err...why did I do that?

I'm thinking of making a "weightloss blog" instead of bogging down this blog with weightloss junk...hmm..
