It's time I do something about my fat self...

I can't believe I've gained 12 pounds since our wedding.  It probably didn't help that I was laid off four days after getting back from our honeymoon.  I did get some exercise during August, September, and October because I was playing softball every weekend.  So that did help.  I guess I could say it's been 9 months since our wedding and I've gained 12 pounds in 9 months..but really I don't think I started gaining until after softball season...so really i've gained 12 pounds in 5 months.  That is not good!  I've got to start doing something to get this weight off.  I don't care if I lose more than 12 pounds...I was happy being at 169..even though for my 5'7" frame that was overweight.  I was happy with that.  I was happy with my size 12 pants.  But I am NOT HAPPY at 181 with stuff over flowing out of my size 12 pants... Not happy at all.  So starting tomorrow I am officially on a diet/exercise program to get myself back down to 169 and stay there.
Before the wedding me and some of my co-workers did Zumba.  It was so much fun and you really got a work-out.  But after losing my job I really can't afford to drive the 20 mile drive up there and pay the money to go to the classes.  So i'm thinking of ordering the work-out videos and do them from home.  Plus I plan on walking everyday...even if its not alot...I must do some sort of walking...
Anyways, every wednesday will be the end of one week since I'm starting tomorrow which is wednesday.  I will post how I did that week and my challenges for the next week.  Below is my challenges for this week.  It may not sound like much but trust me it is.  I eat cookies, brownies...some sort of snack EVERY NITE before I go to bed.  I also drink alot of tea... But no soda. Also we eat ALOT of red meat in our house.  Like I'd say probably 4 times a week.  This week is going to be really hard...not only because its the first week but because were going out of town this weekend so it's going to be hard to eat healthier and exercise..but I will.
First Week Weight Challenge April 1 - April 7

  • No more cookies, cakes, brownies, ice cream, etc.

  • No more tea.  ONLY Water.

  • Cut back on red meat.  Only eat red meat twice a week. (yes, that's cutting back for me)

  • Walk EVERYDAY.
So, i'm taking it slow my first week and just concentrating on these four things.  Those are huge things for me so this is definately going to be hard.  One thing that I'm hoping will help me is a program I have on my iphone called Lose It.  It keeps track of every single thing you eat or drink plus you can add any excerise you do into it.  I'm going to try and keep all calorie consumption under 1500.  I know that still seems like a lot but compared to my usual 3000 a day...it's a huge step.
After reading this I do realize you all are probably going to think i'm a fat slob that eats like a kid.  And well I wouldn't consider myself a fat slob (yet) I do eat like a kid. haha  Because when I was younger I could eat like this everyday and never gain a freakin' pound.  Then all of a sudden I turn 25 and all I have to do is look at something and I gain weight.. WTF??  Wish me Luck.
Also, if you guys have any good advice or tips please feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email.  I need all the help I can get!
And...no I'm not like any other girl.  I don't care that the entire internet can see that i'm 5'7" and weight 181 pounds. haha  I'm pretty open... ;o)  Oh, and tomorrow I'm getting a haircut to kinda "boost" my self confidence and get this thing going.  And yes, I know I need to tan.  That's on the list too!

i love the colors of the rainbow.

This weekend I set out in 30 degree weather while it rained and the wind blew....all to watch my husband play softball.  It was well worth it for a lot of reasons... I got to spend the entire weekend with my husband.  they won.... and i got to see that beautiful rainbow.  no matter how hold i get or how yucky life can be i will always appreciate rainbows.   i was born in the 80's and rainbows (rainbow brite is the shit) were a big hit then.  i've always been proud to sport them (even though my grandma thinks if i wear one people will think i'm gay..who cares).  anyways...yesterday we were sitting in the car waiting for them to finally postpone the tournament around 7:30pm and the sun started to shine thru...and this baby appeared...and if you look closely to the left of the rainbow you'll see a second one starting to appear.  i love the colors of the rainbow.

I see the big picture...why don't others?

Don't you just love polaroids?? I do and always have.  I actually like any sort of vintage photography.. I think i'm going to start a scrapbook and use nothing but polaroid pictures in it....  Yesterday I spent my precious time designing and creating and crafting.  I've got alot of stuff I need to add to the shop but it's really a pain dragging my light box out for only like 5 things.  So I've decided to keep on creating and when I've got atleast 10 new things then I'll drag it out and start snapping pictures.  That part of the "selling products" is so time consuming.  Get out the light box, set everything up...take mulitple pictures in all different angles, edit pictures and lighting..etc. Then resize and upload....blah blah blah.. It's very time consuming but I guess well worth it.  Anyways...so I plan on working on more projects tomorrow and hopefully get the shop full of new stuff.
This week I've also got to go to the health department and get a TB test and a Tetanus shot for school.  The whole having to go back two days later is such a pain in the ass.  So I think I'm gonna go Friday then that way I don't have to go back until Monday...hopefully that will work out well.
I'm really looking forward to Friday.  John Cena's new movie, 12 Rounds, comes out and I'm super excited.  JC and I were gonna go but he's got tickets to the Sweet 16 NCAA games, so it looks like I'll be going Saturday night instead....unless I can talk one of my friends in going with me.
So I can't remember if I've mentioned that JC had a interview at a local mine or not..but he did and it went really well.  They told him he's first on the list to be hired and should be hearing from them basically anytime.  They said they're just waiting for the "ink to dry" on a contract. The thing is...I'm super excited about it because A. he'd make REALLY good money and I wouldn't have to get a full time job. B. Since I wouldn't have to work full time I can go back to school C. we'd never have to worry about money again.   but at the same time...I'm really not excited about the fact that he's putting his dream of being a police officer on hold because he knows we need this money.  Also our plans of moving away (hopefully Texas) will also be put on hold.  He says if he gets this job he plans to be there for 20 years!! Oh my gosh, I can't live in this county for 20 more years!!!!  I'm so different than the people here.  I see the big picture...they don't.  It's sorta hard to explain but if you've ever lived in a small town/community or grew up in one then you know what I mean.  The people here all they are concerned about is small town stuff... crops, roads, gossip, babies, church... etc.
They don't see (or they don't want to see) whats going on in other places than here.  They don't realize the effect they are having on the environment and they don't realize that there are millions of babies and kids out there needing a home...  They are just all so consumed in their little life that they don't understand their "little life" is just that LITTLE... I hate listening to people complain and bitch about stuff.. If your not happy with your life than do something about it.  Duh!  I mean seriously...there are worse things going on.... maybe like WAR... hello??  Now your "little dramafied life" doesn't sound so bad..right?
I don't know...I am just so different and view things so differently than people around here.  Even my family and friends...they just don't get it.  .....I'm not sure if "dramafied" is a word...but it is now! haha

Vinyl Decals are now in the shop and my cousin is at Rodeo Drive

I feel like I've been neglecting my blog a bit lately.  I'd said it has to do with me working an entire week and the extremely spring like weather we've been having.  I also had a baby shower to help organize and go to on Saturday for my sister in law.  But...one thing that I haven't been neglecting lately is my shop.  I've added a few new cards (I posted one last week on here) and I also have been adding some vinyl window decals.
I just placed an order for a new shipment of vinyl that should be here by the middle of next week.
I'm starting slow as far as sizes for the vinyl decals.  I need to order some packaging materials because right now I can only accomadate for decals 6 inches or smaller.  If they're any bigger I have to take them to the post office and get something to put them in.  I'm planning on making a trip to office max or staples to check out some of their postal products.
I also am looking into buy an external hard drive.  Does anyone have any good advice as far as size and brand?!?  It's something that I really need to get soon.  With me making alot of vinyl art I'm really craming my hard drive full of stuff.  I obviously need to keep all that saved but I really don't want it on my laptop.  When August comes and I start school I want my laptop to have as much free space on it as possible so it works nice and fast while i'm at school.  So if you guys have any advice for me, please let me know.
Whale.... (hehe) I'm off to watch a movie with my hubby.  Did I mention we got High Definition?  Let me just say its AMAZING!!!  It's not "iPhone Amazing"... like "i can't live without it" but it's definately great.  I've always squinted to be able to see the TV because I have crappy vision..but seriously now...I don't have to squint at all.  It's so crazy.  You should definately look into it.  DirecTV has a sale going on right now.. FREE Installation, FREE Equipment...only $9.99 a month. Pretty Sweet Deal!
Oh...and my little cousin, Derrik, is in Los Angles this week on Spring Break.  Today he texts me and says "Rodeo Drive Baby!!"  What a jerk!! I'm so jealous!! I've wanted to go there FOREVER! haha  I told him to be on the look out for paparazzi...because if you see them...you'll surely see someone famous.  I'm hoping he gets me a picture of Britney's Star. hehe  I also told him he should go up to some fancy shop on Rodeo Drive and do the whole "Mighty Ducks Skit" where the boys tell the people at the store their Aaron Spellings nephews and they get to go in and see all the models try things on and get free drinks and stuff. haha

My hubby made me a pegboard for my craft room.

Well it's sunday afternoon and i've got the windows open and enjoying the weather.  Just about two hours ago it was storming and dark out.  Now the sun is shining and the weather is amazing.  I've been pretty busy this weekend.  I had a custom order to do for someone... I won't get into detail quite yet.  They are a suprise so I would hate to ruin the suprise.  I'll post about it next week.  I thought you guys may want to see an update on my craft room.
My hubby built me a pegboard wall to put some of my supplies on.  I like my supplies to be handy, but i don't want them all on top of my workspace in the way.  So I came up with this.  I love the natural brown color if it...it makes me think of recycled paper..which I love.  I only bought 12 hooks and I could use probably atleast 12 more..haha I also bought a basket to put on it and wouldn't mind having about 2 more of those.  It's gonna take me a while to get everything organized on it just how I like it but so far its working out great.

Please excuse my mess on my desk, it was a productive day. haha  Oh..and those two clipboards I bought for $1.00 each at Circut City.  They were the clipboards the actual employees used but because they were going out of business they were selling everything.  I plan on sprucing them up with some paper soon.

back to work for one week

So I feel like i'm sorta behind on posting.  This week has been kinda hectic.  Tuesday night my cousin Derrik had his basketball sectionals.  Unfortunately, we lost.  It was a really good game and they had an excellent season, I just wish they could have won sectionals again.  They won sectionals last year...and this year is his senior year...so it's his last time playing basketball.  I'm still very proud of him.  He did really good this season.  This just means that baseball season is around the corner.  Which is very exciting.
I also had my first custom vinyl order.  I am a member of a Kurt Halsey Fan Page on livejournal and I saw a post from a girl wanting to know if anyone did vinyl.  I sent her a message and she is actually from indianapolis (which is just 2 hours away) and needs some vinyl window art for a local band.  So I'm waiting for my white vinyl to come in (i only had black and brown) and as soon as it comes in which hopefully is tomorrow or monday at the latest I'll get her decals made.  I'm hoping that in the future if the band plays gigs and wants to sell some of the car window decals maybe they'll order them from me.  I still haven't added any vinyl to my shop.  I was going to add it in the shop on March 1 but that's the day I took my cousin's senior pictures and then the last few days I've been busy doing things.  Then today I worked at my old work (the one that I got laid off from).  Someone is taking a week off so they asked me to come work for a week to fill in.  I really didn't want to do it but I figured it wouldn't kill me to work 1 week...plus I'll make more than my unemployment and that will push my unemployment back one week....  So today I worked there..it was boring and went by REALLY slow..but it was okay.  It's just weird being back there.  It's been 8 months and alot has changed.  Nothing has changed there.  The place is the same and the people are the same..but I'm different.  I just see things differently and really don't care to be there.  I don't know...I've just changed the way I feel about things in the past 8 months I guess.  Like I sorta reevaluated the way I think, feel, and act about things.   I know whats important to me and the kind of people I want to surround myself with.  And that place just isn't where I want to be and those people are just not the people I want to be around. BUT...it's only for one week..so i'm sure I can handle it for one week.  It's basically free money..the worst part about the job is having to wake up at 7 am...other than that the job is cake. :o)

John Cena is an amazing kisser

atleast in my dream he was. hehe

You know how sometimes you have many dreams in one night or sometimes you don't dream at all?  Well last night I only had one dream but it was a VERY good dream. ;o)  Of course, I won't go into details but let's just say the dream lasted ALL NIGHT LONG. hehe  I'm always been a huge fan of his since he came into wrestling back in 2002.  I think is the sexiest man alive and love to watch him wrestle every monday night.  I also love his movie The Marine that came out back in 2006.  That movie made me fall in love with him even more.  It could be his "hero" roll he played but either way he was amazing in it.  In about 3 weeks his new movie, 12 rounds, is coming out and I can't wait to see it.  By the way the previews look it looks like another "hero" movie...but thats fine with me.
Unfortuantely for me the internet says he is engaged and is planning on getting married sometime this year.  and I guess unfortunately for him I'm married. hehe But ya never know what the future holds.

I Want it Wednesday

Isn't this so cute?? My two favorite animals...cute birds and turtles.  I love this.  I don't even know if I'd drink out of them because they are so freakin' cute.
Oh...then I came across this.  I am NOT a fan of pink but I do love trees and owls... so maybe i'd take this set and only keep 1 and give the other 3 away...either way this set is super cute too.
These are super cute.  I don't like the pink one but it would make a super cute gift for someone.  I LOVE the green one.  He's green, he's got cute little hearts, and he's got a touch of blue.  He's so cute.
I know I said that I would never buy another handbag that wasn't handmade...but isn't this bag amazing?? How could I not want this?  One day. . . ;o)

I took my cousin's senior pictures.

I am not a professional photographer nor do I have a fancy schmancy camera. So please only give constructive critisicim.  I know these photos are not anywhere near GREAT but I think they're pretty darn good with the equipment that I got. hehe
Anyways, my cousin who is a senior in high school plays football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and baseball in the spring.  So from August until June he has some sort of practice or game every single day, except for Sundays.  And even on Sundays he's got something going on.  So when it came to getting his senior pictures taken he kept putting it off.  Well he has to have atleast one senior picture turned in by Tuesday for his school yearbook.  My aunt really didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for one picture so she asked if I would take some.  I said sure.  I enjoy takin' pictures and anytime with my cousin is a good time.  So today we braved the 30 degree weather and the wind and the snow flurries and went out on an adventure to find good backdrops for pictures.  You can view all the ones I took on my flickr page but below is a few of my favorite.  We had a good time and came out with some good pics.  When it gets warmer I think we are going to try and take some more with his letter jacket and stuff but we just needed a few so that his mom could pic one for the yearbook.  Enjoy!

Future Abercrombie & Fitch Model.. :o)

My favorite is the one below.  I love it in the black and white with the touch of color.

Tomorrow I've got a busy day with printing pictures, banking, wal-mart, and adding vinyl to my shop.  But hopefully I'll get time to make a full update post.  Thanks for looking at my pics...btw....ladies, he's single and lookin' for a prom date. ;o)

Go Tbirds, a project I made with my cricut.

I typed this post at 11am this morning but then had some computer problems so couldn't post it until I got back tonight.  Enjoy. . .
So, i'm extremely busy today but I wanted to make a quick post to show you something I made with my Cricut and my computer.  I came up with this super cute idea to make a sign for my cousin's basketball game.  It was senior night Friday and I wanted to make a poster for my cousin not just the entire team and came up with this.  Isn't it cute? He loved it and so did his friend who is also on the time.  Apparently he wants one for the sectional game on tuesday. haha Anyways, busy day ahead of me.  I'll be posting my vinyl to my shop.  I also be taking some photos of my cousin for the yearbook, and not to mention like 20 other projects I have going on.  It's been a busy weekend, but hopefully tomorrow I can give you guys an update on here.  Anyways, enjoy my poster I made and if anyone is interested in the file for the body of this little guy let me know.  I used my Sure Cuts Alot program to make it, so I'm sure I can figure out how to upload it online to share with anyone who is interested. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and don't forget to check my shop later today for my vinyl. :o)
